Rental Attendant (Alcohol) Must be 21 Years of Age

MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE - to assist rentals where alcohol will be served
Weekday (Regular), $14/hour
Weekend Days and Nights (Premium), $20/hour
SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Recreation Supervisor, the Rental Attendant is responsible for supervising all rental activities which includes; setting up before and tearing down after each event, providing onsite equipment maintenance and cleaning of the facility, providing exemplary customer service for each user and ensuring the safety and health of all participants throughout each event.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
The ability to perform the essential functions independently, without assistance. This includes the efficient lifting, transporting, and maneuvering of tables, chairs, and other heavy equipment.
Physical fitness that is conducive to the essential job functions.
An interest in working in the parks and recreation field.
Experience working in a park district, preferred.
The ability to maintain a positive and effective working relationship with other employees and the public.
An ability to listen and follow directions.
The ability to perform required duties with initiative, accuracy, persistence, integrity, dependability, tact, and courtesy.
Experience working with basic maintenance equipment, institutional-strength cleaning chemicals, and institutional cleaning procedures.
The ability to interpret a work order or task list correctly.
Ability to adjust to possible new weekly work schedule.
Ability to work extra hours / work weekends if needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, any combination of the following tasks:
Be aware and knowledgeable of daily programs and rental schedule.
Sweep and mop floors of gym, entryways, lobby, and stairwells.
Clean any and all washrooms if needed.
Clean kitchen area and kitchen in rooms.
Vacuum high-traffic areas and offices.
Organize/clean storage closets and areas throughout.
Take out garbage and replace liners in all areas.
Replace paper products throughout daily (including restrooms).
Rental set-ups and supervision (tables, chairs, TV/VCR/DVD).
Maintain quality, integrity, and cleanliness of rental furniture.
Evaluate pre-condition and post-condition of rental areas.
Make recommendations on continual improvements and note any changes for maintenance in periodic report to supervisor.
